Joining UFIRC

Our consortium is purely voluntary with membership being based on active participation in our academic international management research projects.

Participation varies among the members, mostly at the discretion of each individual member. Minimum participation typically means participation in survey development (e.g., translation-backtranslation, pilot testing), collecting data in a specific country, collecting reference material relevant to that location, especially that which is not available through standard search procedures (e.g., Proquest), and engaging in the critique of drafts of the international research papers written by other UFIRC members. Individuals, who are interested in being more active, may have the opportunity to take primary responsibility and first authorship for the creation and writing of research projects developed from data collected by other UFIRC members.

As long as a UFIRC member, who has contributed to a research paper, meets the minimum participation criteria, he/she will be a co-author on that paper.
